McLearn Custom Guns — Shipping Policy
McLearn Custom Guns LLC is committed to the safe, secure, and lawful shipment of all firearms and products. All firearm shipments are handled in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and the requirements of our approved shipping carriers.
1. Firearm Shipping & FFL Requirements
All firearms purchased from McLearn Custom Guns must be shipped to a properly licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer authorized to receive the firearm.
Firearms will not be shipped directly to residential customers.
Customers must designate a receiving FFL dealer and provide the necessary contact information.
McLearn Custom Guns must receive and verify the receiving dealer’s FFL information before shipment.
All required background checks, transfer documentation, and applicable transfer fees are handled by the receiving FFL dealer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their selected dealer will accept the shipment and complete the transfer.
2. Shipping Locations & Restrictions
McLearn Custom Guns ships firearms throughout the United States to eligible FFL dealers where the particular firearm may lawfully be sold, transferred, and possessed.
Customers are responsible for confirming that their ordered firearm complies with all applicable state and local regulations.
McLearn Custom Guns reserves the right to cancel or decline any shipment that would violate applicable laws or regulatory requirements.
3. Custom Firearm Production & Shipping Time Frames
Most McLearn Custom Guns firearms are handcrafted and built to customer specifications.
Our estimated production lead time is approximately six to 12 months, depending on the model, configuration, material availability, and current production schedule.
All production timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Once a firearm is completed, final inspection and testing are performed before shipment.
Firearms are shipped only after all outstanding payments have been received, the receiving FFL has been verified, and applicable shipping requirements have been satisfied.
4. Shipping Methods & Insurance
McLearn Custom Guns uses carriers and shipping services authorized to transport firearms in accordance with applicable laws and carrier requirements.
Firearms are securely packaged to protect against damage during transportation.
Shipment tracking information will be provided when available.
Firearm deliveries require signature confirmation in accordance with applicable carrier requirements.
Any shipment insurance or declared-value coverage is subject to the terms, limitations, and exclusions of the applicable carrier or insurance provider.
5. Delivery & Inspection
Customers should coordinate with their receiving FFL dealer regarding the expected delivery and transfer process.
Upon arrival, the receiving dealer should inspect the shipment for visible damage or discrepancies.
If shipping damage or an incorrect item is discovered, the customer or receiving dealer should contact McLearn Custom Guns promptly, preferably before the firearm is transferred to the customer.
McLearn Custom Guns will assist in investigating shipping discrepancies, carrier claims, and other delivery concerns.
6. Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments
If a firearm shipment is lost, damaged, or significantly delayed, McLearn Custom Guns will work with the shipping carrier and receiving FFL to investigate and resolve the issue.
Any replacement, repair, refund, or other remedy will be determined in accordance with the circumstances, applicable coverage, and legal requirements.
Carrier delays outside our control may affect the final delivery date.
7. Non-Firearm Products & Accessories
Non-firearm merchandise may be shipped directly to customers where permitted by law and applicable carrier policies.
Shipping methods, costs, and estimated delivery times may vary depending on the product.
Certain firearm components and restricted accessories may require additional shipping restrictions or FFL verification.
Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy
McLearn Custom Guns LLC specializes in handcrafted, precision-built custom firearms. Because many of our firearms are manufactured to individual customer specifications, our refund and cancellation policies differ from those of businesses selling standard, mass-produced merchandise.
Please review this policy before placing an order.
1. Custom Firearm Orders
Custom firearms are manufactured according to specifications selected or approved by the customer.
Once an order has been accepted and production has begun, materials, specialized components, and gunsmithing labor may already have been committed to the build.
For this reason, cancellations of custom firearm orders are subject to review and the cancellation terms disclosed and agreed to when the order was placed.
2. Deposits & Order Cancellations
Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price of the firearm.
Customers wishing to cancel an order must submit their request to McLearn Custom Guns in writing.
Cancellation eligibility and any applicable deductions will depend on the terms accepted at the time of purchase, the stage of production, and the amount of work or expense already incurred.
Any non-refundable deposit provisions or cancellation charges must be disclosed as part of the customer’s purchase agreement.
McLearn Custom Guns will provide an explanation of any applicable deductions when reviewing a cancellation request.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights required by applicable law.
3. Completed Custom Firearms
Due to the personalized nature of custom-built firearms, completed custom orders are generally considered final sales once the customer has accepted delivery and completed the legally required firearm transfer.
Returns based solely on a change of preference, desired configuration, or buyer’s remorse are generally not accepted after transfer.
This provision does not exclude valid warranty claims, manufacturing defects, errors attributable to McLearn Custom Guns, or remedies required by law.
4. Manufacturing Defects & Concerns
McLearn Custom Guns takes pride in the craftsmanship and performance of our firearms.
If a customer experiences a suspected manufacturing defect, mechanical issue, or other workmanship concern, they should contact McLearn Custom Guns before attempting repairs or modifications.
We will review the issue and provide instructions for evaluation, inspection, or appropriate service.
Customers should not ship firearms to McLearn Custom Guns without receiving return instructions and authorization.
5. Shipping Damage or Incorrect Merchandise
If a firearm or other product arrives damaged or does not match the order, customers should notify McLearn Custom Guns as soon as reasonably possible.
For firearms delivered to an FFL dealer, customers should inspect the firearm before completing the transfer whenever possible.
McLearn Custom Guns will review the circumstances and coordinate an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, correction, or refund as applicable.
6. Denied or Incomplete FFL Transfers
Customers are responsible for ensuring they are legally eligible to receive and possess the firearm they order.
If a transfer cannot be completed because of a failed background check, an invalid receiving FFL, legal restrictions, or other eligibility concerns, McLearn Custom Guns will review the available options.
Any return shipment must be coordinated through appropriately licensed parties and in accordance with applicable laws.
Refund eligibility and any applicable shipping, handling, or cancellation charges will be determined under the terms agreed to at purchase and applicable law.
7. Non-Firearm Merchandise & Accessories
Returns of non-firearm merchandise and accessories may be considered when the items are unused, unmodified, and in their original condition.
Customers must contact McLearn Custom Guns for return authorization before shipping merchandise back.
Eligibility may vary for custom-ordered, specially manufactured, installed, or used components.
Any applicable return shipping costs or restocking charges will be communicated during the return authorization process and will be consistent with the original purchase terms.
8. Refund Processing
Once a refund has been approved, McLearn Custom Guns will process it through the applicable original payment method when available, or another mutually agreed method.
The time required for funds to appear in the customer’s account may vary depending on the financial institution and payment processor.
The customer will be informed of the approved refund amount and any applicable deductions.
9. Policy Applicability
McLearn Custom Guns may revise this policy for future orders. Changes will not retroactively remove contractual or statutory rights belonging to existing customers.
